1. Introduction

Helm AI Inc ("we", "us", or "our") operates helmaiagent.com and AI-powered productivity tools. Two products are paid: the US Tech Resume Rewrite ($19 one-time) and AI Writing Assistant Pro ($4.90/month). Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

This Privacy Policy describes information we may collect when you visit the website, contact us, or use available tools.

2. Information We May Collect

• Contact information: Information you send by email or through the mailto contact form, such as name, email address, subject, and message.
• Account and authentication information: For Helm AI accounts, your email address, one-time sign-in code, and session token are used to authenticate access. Session information is stored locally by the Chrome extension and sent to Helm AI account endpoints when needed.
• Usage and device information: Browser type, pages visited, approximate timestamps, referring pages, IP address, and similar website or service information. IP address may be used to apply anonymous usage limits.
• Chrome extension content: When you explicitly start a writing action, the extension processes the text you select, your prompt, the generated result, and the selected action. It stores limited history, usage counts, preferences, and the URL associated with an action locally in your browser.
• Optional page context: If you enable the page-context setting, the extension sends the page title and a short text snippet near your selection to help generate a reply. This setting is off by default.
• Custom provider credentials: If you configure your own AI provider in the extension, the API key is stored locally in the extension and sent to the provider endpoint you select. Helm AI does not receive that key through its default writing endpoint.
• Uploaded or entered content: Text, prompts, questions, files, or other content you provide to use a tool.

3. Uploaded Content and AI Processing

Some tools require files or text to provide results. The Chrome extension sends user-initiated writing requests to Helm AI API endpoints, which route requests through Cloudflare AI Gateway and the configured model provider. Other tools may process content in the browser or send it to the relevant product endpoint.

Do not upload or enter content unless you have the right to use it. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, regulated, or third-party content unless you understand and accept the processing involved in using a tool.

Local extension history remains in your browser until you clear it from the extension or browser storage. Helm AI does not use the Chrome writing endpoint to store the text or generated result as an account record, but service providers may process request data as needed to provide the requested AI response.

We do not claim a fixed deletion timeline, specific encryption standard, certification, or security control beyond what is verifiable from the current website code.

4. How We Use Information

• To provide, test, maintain, and improve product functionality.
• To respond to questions, support requests, and product feedback.
• To understand website and product usage patterns.
• To diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and protect the website and services.
• To comply with applicable legal obligations.

5. Analytics and Cookies

The website includes Google Analytics through the Google tag. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to help measure website activity. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and may use Google-provided opt-out tools where available.

6. Payments

Some Helm AI account and checkout functionality is implemented for products that may be offered through the website or extension. Stripe processes payment details on its hosted checkout pages; Helm AI does not receive or store full card numbers through the extension. Account, order, subscription, and entitlement records may be processed by Helm AI to provide access to an active product. Do not enter payment details anywhere except an official Stripe-hosted checkout page opened from Helm AI.

7. Sharing Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate the website, analytics, hosting, communication, or product functionality. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

8. AI Output Limitations

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your intended use. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before relying on it. The tools do not provide professional medical, legal, financial, or other regulated advice.

9. Your Choices

You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you have provided, subject to practical and legal limitations. You can also clear localStorage and cookies through your browser.

10. Children's Privacy

The website and tools are not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as products and commercial plans evolve. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
